I’m not defending the literal Yahtzee Musk, but the satellites are designed to do that, they’re in a very low earth orbit and are technically still within the earths atmosphere, their orbit continuously decays until they eventually burn up

starlink satellites are designed to fall to Earth after approximately 5 years. They were designed this way and expect one or two a day to fall, it helps cut down on space debris. The number falling will increase over time. I was hoping it was a design flaw actually🤣😂

They're literally deorbiting intentionally. Apparently not many people understand what LEO (Low Earth Orbit) means. They have a finite supply of fuel for the hall effect ion thrusters (the early ones used Krypton), and use the last of it for a controlled deorbit descent. They will hit no one, because it's a planned deorbit path.
