Go back and look at the most recent rise in authoritarian regimes and you’ll see a relationship between the rise of data (which is now more valuable than oil) and the rise of authoritarian regimes. Tech bros are your infiltrators, that’s why having no regulations on Ai for 10 years was tied into the Big Beautiful Bill and only recently voted out.

Sounds like while Gitmo brass approved providing the info it wasn't done through formally but rather back channels. The way you describe it Gitmo brass didn't seek approval from their chain of command, so essentially securely leaked the information
