Do you feel like not starting in med surg hindered your critical thinking or nursing skills. I just shadowed in the nicu for my labor and delivery clinical and loved it. I can truly see myself on that unit but everyone says you should start out on med surg after school to practice your skills and develop your critical thinking. What are your opinions?
