Think about it this way… maybe we’re not begging, rather teaching. How many of us are coming from broken homes with no role models. Relationships aren’t how they’re “supposed to be” because we’re essentially starting over. We need to stop expecting and start communicating and understanding.

I disagree. You can not expect your partner to just know what you want. It is your responsibility to. communicate your needs in any relationship romantic or otherwise. If you have guilt for receiving the things you have asked for then that is something to seek therapy for. Your partner is not responsible for your guilt or your inability or refusal to communicate clearly and directly. Their only responsibility is to create a safe environment for you to communicate and then make sure they are following through with those requests.

my husband and i decided that tuesdays was a going out night, and wednesdays was a stay in night, we alternate who has what day that week and the one who plans the date, pays, and when we stay in the person planning the activities cooks dinner, idk if that makes sense but it works for us

I’ve told. Asked, taught my husband so many times. He doesn’t do any of it. I’m so over it. If I didnt want companionship … I would’ve never gotten married. It is such a drag . Even though he’s kind his expectations are so unrealistic
