Keep your window and get two more to match, making three side by side windows with grids in the kitchen! You’ll probably save some money because you won’t need engineering. With a larger window you will need a heftier header because you’ll be removing too many studs.

Please get more quotes. I’m a contractor in Alabama and you are getting ripped off. Also look for material yourself and see if it adds up to their material. Could be they are charging you labor and are upcharging for the material too. (Double dipping for profit)

please get more quotes. i’m in Los Angeles and just had a brand new folding panel glass door installed that required a lot of work to make opening bigger. $12000 for labor and door. Additionally just had a new room addition for $24,000 including labor and materials.
