My apartment complex threw my kitten outside when I was moving. I never found her and the police couldn’t do anything bc there was no proof the apartment people did it. I wasn’t home and the door was locked, i KNOW they threw her out. I miss her so much😣💔

That’s why I have a HIDDEN ring camera inside and everytime maintenance comes in , I watch the whole time. I’m not crazy, people are just evil.

Acceptable for maintenance to lock a cat in a room so it can’t escape. But if for longer than an hour it must have food, water, and litter box. In fact, that’s what I’d want to prevent the cat from escaping. If it’s scheduled maintenance, the owner should do this.

As an apartment complex manager, do it. I would be irate if one of our current maintenance technicians did this. But consider complaining to management first, we had a maintenance technician in a similar situation and we fired him, compensated the residents for the emotional distress, and had a retraining meeting with all maintenance staff. The resolution was a lot quicker but you get less in return most likely.

Step 1, go to your doctor, get a note saying the cat has to live with you for emotional support second step; sue! It’s a felony in some states to do anything to an esa or service animal.

My apartment maintenance did something to my boy, I didn’t even know until I came home from work. I went to the apartment managers office the next day and let it RIP. I demanded the maintenance person directly and interrogated him and he admitted my cat attacked him bc he got scared and he kicked him. My landlord fired him on the spot, my boy has severe anxiety now and mama has cameras everywhere ): I’ll never let it happen again

Nobody enters our apartment unless me or my husband are present. Maintenance did it 1 time and I let him know I always put that on the ticket for THEIR safety. He never did it again😊
