No seriously the cosplay community has been going downhill bc of these types of people. They are mainly narcissists influencers who make it into a beauty pageant and look down on others. It’s been becoming pretty common and it’s genuinely sad

the only time ive ever said no to a picture is if I was actively busy. and im always so apologetic about it 😭 cons are such diverse spaces i dont get why someone that ableist and rude would even be there 🙄

Turning down photos with a disabled person is INSANE. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a con goer’s positive experience at a con? I only turn down photos if I’m unwell, resting/recharging, or if I’m in a sexier costume and a guy is giving me a bad vibe. I just— I’m flabbergasted. Shocked.

no i saw that person and i called them out bc wtf do you mean?? half the fun/payoff of cosplaying is the community support… i went at mira from kpop demon hunters and knew kids would be stopping me all day and i anticipated it and even gave them little stickers like… just be nice i fear its not that hard

I straight up chose to not to ever interact with those types of people that are only in it for clout as someone cosplays a lot. I’ve only ever turned down one photo because I was eating something but went out of my way to find the people that asked me because I didn’t want them to think I was trying to be like one of those types of cosplayers
