apreciate your review! i'm having trouble to digest the movie, I just watched a couple of hours ago and I'm watching lots of reviews to try and make reason of my own throughts. but i do think the film lacks clearity in its message and tbh, this lack of clearity almost makes the movie a perfect conservative propaganda.

Agreed. I think it perfectly showed how white performative women can be the victim and can contribute to the patriarchy. But it’s frustrating that everything Maggie went through after the sa was from the white leads perspective and barely hers. I fully believe if they showed the misognoir Maggie experienced instead of subtly talking about it would have benefited the film more. It feels like banking off a black queer woman’s trauma through her white professors
