@bebetechtalk: A Harvard economist just showed that 92% of US economic growth came from AI infrastructure. Without it, we'd have 0.1% growth in H1 2025. The entire economy is riding on a $400B bet that AI pays off. Is this brilliant or risky? Part 2: the arguments FOR the boom. #techtok #ai #datacenter #economy #gdp
somewhere out there, acres of land is being demolished for data servers lol

Everybody should download this AI it works pretty good and it’s free. You can even upload documents free. Other AI stuff to look at documents yet to pay this one you don’t check this one out. (Kimi) - Now with K2 K2• Agent-Trillion Parameters

It kind of proves Keynes right that you can pay people to dig a hole in the ground and fill it back up. Imagine if we dumped that much money into stuff that would be societally beneficial?

There is no way to make AI profitable and the market will sober up to this reality sometime next year and the collapse will be glorious to behold 😂

How is AI supposed to put more money into the pockets of anyone but the 1%? It seems like the efficiency it brings is leading to job replacement, not creation. Does the economy grow when the populace can’t spend?

I think they will build and overshoot demand just like the fibre optic build out. Only thing is data center GPUs have a short life to obsolescence and are a large % of the cost of the centers. If demand isn't there we'll have another bubble crash. Let's see how it goes.

AI will lead to short term profit, but it will put people out of work reducing consumption. also once all companies adopt AI it's competitive advantage is gone and so too are profits. so best case scenario is kicking the can down the road another 2-4 years. worst case is complete collapse of the global economy the likes of which have never been seen.

Ok, what is your point? It’s still a lot of jobs and income. The economy is shifting, like it did in the last 1990’s and late 1800”s to a new version of itself

It’s super bad when you realize it’s just OpenAI, Nvidia, and like 2 or 3 other companies just passing money in a circle.

AI has hit a brick wall. The ONLY reason it's "profitable" is because of GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES, which is running a trillion dollar deficit. IT'S OVER

If the population is growing and the GDP is flat (outside of AI), then the GDP per capita would actually be falling if it was not for this AI bubble
