I stayed in the closet until 44. My earliest hints were at 3 when I saw the neighbor boy naked (he was 3 too). I knew in 4th grade I had to lie and say I liked a boy, versus Jan. I married a man, had kids, etc. At 44 I saw my future wife, she took my breath away, I literally couldn’t breathe, the room went dark, except her, at the end of a tunnel of light. I had seen her face in my nighttime dreams since I was around 8. Now she was standing in front of me at Wednesday night church at Unity. I pursued her. She let me catch her. We’ve been married 15 years. She still makes my heart race.
