I fear this might be the exact reason this version was recalled😭 I also have it and the metal does just barely sit in the hole with nothing securing it there

Ok so i checked that the metals supporting the shelfs are just slided in. they dont have any nuts to hold them in. And they come ready assembled. I think its bad design and they dont even sell it in Finland. It should hold 25kg per shelf according to ikea. 😬

I purchased a range from IKEA & discovered a HUGE safety issue after the warranty had expired. I went to the store, spoke w/the manager, and IKEA fully refunded me. They also had the item marked “unavailable” corporate wide by the end of the day. Bring it to the local store’s attention

Unfortunately, I have the same version of this shelf, and mine collapsed too. The metal parts that are supposed to support the shelf are too short and slip out of the holes :(
