The 90 second pause. After a loss, don't touch your mouse for 90 seconds. Just breathe. That cortisol wave peaks at 90 seconds then drops on its own. Let it pass, then ask yourself, is my next trade part of my plan or part of my panic? 2. The body scan. After a loss, check in with your body. Tight chest? Clenched jaw? Shallow breath? Those are signs your nervous system is in threat mode. Stand up, stretch, and move for 60 seconds. Movement clears cortisol and resets your system. 3. The loss journal. After every losing trade, write down one sentence. What was the lesson? Not what you did wrong, but what you learned. This rewires your brain to see losses as information instead of failure.
