To all the Tron fans who are worried about ares, ignore the reviews, and ignore the advertising. The people who think the movie is bad are people who either don’t like Tron at all or don’t understand it. And Disney’s advertising has highly undermined the story and are just focusing on trying to make money from people who haven’t even seen other trons. I’ll tell you they don’t retcon anything about Sam and Quorra they just aren’t characters in the movie. There’s also a lot of little references to the last two and if you actually payed attention in the others you would notice. Yes there is a slight bit of plot holes like why Sam isn’t Enron CEO since in brand new day he takes on his role at encom, butttt there’s always been plot holes in Tron so it’s not really that big of a deal. If you love Tron and want more Tron media go see the movie, and make sure you pay attention, I promise you’ll love it. Also the soundtrack is actually amazing NIN did a very good job replicating a Tron soundtrack.
