My mom died 4/13/16, languished for two and a half months. I'm still processing it, and the abandonment I experienced from the supposed community. I see you. I hold space for you, and others in this comment section who went through the same.

I’m sorry. My mom died with a similar story…didn’t have a lot of people to lean on. She died 2/2/24. Still haven’t processed. I know I’m just a stranger on the internet. But if knowing someone else feels your pain helps you. Then I’m glad.

I’m really sorry about your mom. I was by my dad’s side while he battled cancer, I was by his side when he took his last breath. Seeing everyone at his funeral and then not seeing or hearing from 90% of them again really put things into perspective.
