Together on 3! Together on 3! 1,2,3 TOGETHER! I coached high school basketball for 15 years at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, TN. During that time, I coached 524 games and led almost 2,000 practices. Before every practice and leaving the locker room before games and after huddles from the sidelines at games, we would always stack our hands up and I would say “Together on 3, Together on 3…1,2,3 Together!” There is something that is magical in the way you can speak a word into existence and how that will pull the mindset and hope of individuals and groups in a direction. As we focus on Winning, I think the most crucial element in learning what it takes to win, is the recognition, understanding, and connection to what it means to be Together in relationship with others on the same mission as you as you pursue something bigger than you could by yourself. Life is much more fulfilling when you are on a journey with like-minded teammates chasing the fulfillment of something beyond your own capabilities. The incredible part to being on a team and being locked together in pursuit of winning is understanding the greatness and value of everyone on the team. Life is not meant to be lived in isolation and winning personally and professionally when you reflect on your own life, was probably much more rewarding I would guess when it was shared Together with a group of people!
