@tonezone.mp4: A custom I’ve worked on during my spare time over the last few months — a proper action figure for one of the more unusual transformers to grace the franchise, and a personal fav: Decepticon Blackwall Having a very minor role during IDW2005’s run of comics, Blackwall served as Megatron’s personal transport during his rise to political power. With an imposing stature, and a cold, otherworldly set of eyes, Blackwall stayed extremely loyal to the cause. Even until his demise, by the hands of his old rival: Grimlock • The base figure that’s used, is a cheap transforming toy from China. Modeled after transport vehicles used by Chinese politicians. This figure was selected for the following reasons: 1.) It’s the same size as SS86 Grimlock (Canon height) 2.) The alt mode reflects his role as a politician transport 3.) The alt mode is also a nice nod to the old G1 children’s book depicting Megatron riding in a similar vehicle 4.) The toy’s robot mode bears uncanny resemblance to this “Earthmode” Blackwall fanart by luisu L, which was a key inspiration for this project 5.) It was already in the intended colors • Modifications to the toy include: 1.) New articulated hands and fingers 2.) Lego Technic neck joint 3.) Custom knee joint swivel 4.)
