Imo it’s bc girls have been culturally developed into doing it all, as in being emotionally/physically/financially caring for their parents while still being employed. Girls are taught to nurture & care more vs boys then that develops more & more as they age into being part of the workforce. I hope we can teach boys the same values bc I think they’re emotionally beneficial as they grow older to achieve as close to equality as possible

The boys are not taking care of their aging parents, period. They don’t raise their boys to be caretakers and when you can only have 1 kid, that’s a crap retirement plan. My heart goes out to all the girls being valued for labor.
