This is always the problem with liberal governments. Look at what Starmer has done in the UK. Mass surveillance, mass arrests, crackdowns on lawful protests, stoking anti-refugee sentiment etc. They’ll always, always align themselves with the right and protect corporate interests over giving the people what they actually want. Canada is moving in the same direction under Carney!
