I disliked how huayong was so deceiving when watching movie I thought it was too much seeing shaoyu crying. And then I started reading the novel after ep 14 and now I feel like the movie didn't do justice to Huayong's past, which is why a lot of fans might not understand him fully. Meanwhile, the struggles Shaoyu' families were explored, but Huayong's traumatic experiences were left out. That scene in the novel where his half-brothers tried to grape him thinking he was omega and the rest of his siblings wanted to watch was horrific. It's amazing he turned out the way he did despite everything. No one deserves to go through something like that. 🥺
