I would stuff them and then see where it would look best. The stuffing might alter how or where you want them to sit! And then safety pin them while trying them on ☺

I feel like in the middle is right for the style you want, but I’ve seen them higher up too…the higher style usually has three pieces though

Honestly it depends on how floppy you want them, if you are only stuffing them and not using any wire supports then sew it a bit higher up so they still hang but will retain their shape a bit better if you’re using wire supports then the middle will be fine as you’ll have extra support

I think the middle is good but using safety pins to try it out could definitely help decide especially if you plan to stuff them you could get a more accurate look before committing but that being said you can definitely undo the stitching if you end up not liking it

I’d say the higher the better, the traditional shape doesn’t go all the way to the brim and whether you fill it or not I think higher will be a more traditional shape, and less of your head shape poking over the top

I second or third this. Whichever order I’m in. Stuff them first, put it on your head, then pick the placement.
