We had the same experience.. I don't understand why the standby line was allowed in at same time as pre-purchase tickets... it should have been in the afternoon because it cleared out WAY more after 2-3 pm...

I'm from the Bay Area and would have made the trip but I'm glad I couldn't find inexpensive airline tickets. I saw video of the lines and I would have not been happy.

Yes i agree. It was a nightmare. They should have caped the people. I waited for almost three hours to finds lines inside and cery testy people

The potential was amazing, but yeah it was absolutely oversold! Would love if they’d do timed tickets next year to reduce the overcrowding—so many boots had their wares flat on the tables and it ended up being impossible to see over the rows/lines of people. 😭

I agree it was unfortunate and unfair to people who bought tickets in advance. I’ve been telling people there is a California pen show this February at a hotel in redondo. I haven’t been yet but I’ll be checking it out and was able to purchase tickets already.

It was terrible!! I got there at 10am with a presale ticket, waited an hour, got in at 11, and it was so packed I couldn’t even see anything!! Then after squeezing out of that crowd I went to get my stamp at paper plant co and that line had like 100 people in it too!! It was just an expensive hot sweaty mess of a day full of lines and overcrowding. Whyyyyy did they let people in at the door at the same time as ticket holders?? Horrible experience for those of us who planned ahead. @Paper Plant Co I love you guys so much but this event was so disappointing
