Okay , so little bit of a lore fact spartan helmets are actually able to continue showing a clear visual even when the visor is cracked hence why in halo five John still had a clear visibility plus emiles helmet just causes intense psychological terror

BTW the visor is mainly for helping with bright lights, night vis and other stuff, the spartans actually see though cameras and with the visor decal it just makes him sensitive to bright lights
