I’m so confused why you act like he’s the biggest baby in the world. Lots of people have big babies, he’s not too big for a wrap. Sincerely someone whose baby was just as big.

literally the second they are born they can be carried in wraps and carriers. What's important is that their legs are in an M position and you can comfortably kiss their head. Also their back should be in the shape of a C.

my son was 6lbs at birth and 11lbs by 5 weeks old. your baby isnt even large for his growth curve lol put him in a wrap or a carrier

Find a local baby wearing chapter and talk to a pro. I think it’s not necessarily size but he needs a little more stable head control and well developed hips. He’s not too big for a wrap! Maybe yours is too stretchy? I would also try a ring sling.

Weights wise, yes he’s fine but biggest concern right now is their neck at that age. I think earliest you can put them in carriers with their neck strength is 6 weeks

When their ears are in line with the top of the structured carrier is a good quick eyeball way to know they’re big enough!

It is not typical for you to barely be able to stand 5 weeks post partum.. I have had some very traumatic births and by 5 weeks things were much better

Typically when they fit in a 3-6 sleeper they are big enough for a soft structure or structured carrier. They need the panel of the carrier to be below their ear, so they can have a clear airway
