RUCKING for women over 35 🚶🏻‍♀️ ☀️  So many studies on how wearing a weighted vest during a fat loss phase allowed for less calorie adjustments so I am curious to see how this plays out for me during my fat loss phase!  You see - when you lose body fat your BMR decreases as well as you have less body mass to carry around so your body burns less calories.  So, say your doing 30 mins of walking at 150lbs and you burn 150 calories- when you lose lets say 10lbs you walking around at 140 you will burn LESS calories because your body doesn’t have to work as hard and theres less body mass to carry around so you may only burn 90 or 100 calories for example.  Wearing a weighted vest during activities sort of tricks your body into thinking it still has that extra mass to carry around so can burn relatively the same amount of calories during activities even though you actually do weigh less now!  Rucking has other benefits such as increasing bone density, increasing muscle mass, improves, cardiovascular health and endurance, improves posture, and stability ect.  Right now I am wearing my vest during my 30 min walk with my dog daily and I will wear it during more daily activities as my fat loss phase continues to see how it affects my calorie intake and progress!  You only need 5-10% of your total body weight to start rucking! I am currently about 117lbs so this is about 10% of my body weight although I bought it when I was around 110-112lbs!
