Generally true however in Hefei the taxi drivers are protected by cages and I’ve seen fights at the taxi rank at the airport.

I’m not even english mothertongue, but i’m pretty sure he asked for some bad sides not for bad areas or parts. Asking for some downsides of living in china does not mean looking for bad things, just for a bigger picture than safety on the street.

I just literally watched another American I believe living in China. they went to a place that kind of looks like Italy with bunch of little bridges and water. whatever! lol but he did a test. he left his iPad on a electric scooter and went out about his business with his girlfriend or wife and like 6 hours later or whatever that iPad was still there

Sure you could go out at 2 am in Chicago and be fine. It just depends on where you are in the city, as with just about anywhere in the US. Would’ve been more productive to clarify if China has THOSE areas in its cities.

If everybody just want to see the not as developed area, check out his rural area playlist. Rural area doesn’t equal to bad, it’s a different lifestyle, and people’s basic needs are still met in those areas, which means they have house food and whatever recreation activities they would prefer.
