People forget most creators (not all, but most) built their platforms while working full-time jobs and posting for years when no one was watching. It looks easy, but it’s not. The irony is that many of the same people saying “creators make too much” also want to be creators themselves. In my opinion it’s less about money and more about envy. Creating consistent, quality content is real work… don’t downplay that.

The only corporate 9-5 people who say that have to truly be old school boomers. We all know as much as corporate is glorified, most people in corporate are not that smart. Saying that as someone who works in corporate beauty and also makes content - it’s smart to do BOTH!

I feel content creators being new Avon sellers also just translates to selling yourself to others for the sake of influencing. It doesn’t translate to not being smart, corporate & CC isn’t the same- totally different

Hot Take- I think the issue is people don’t see being a creative as stable. People don’t see what you do as marketing or branding because there is no tangible item to hold. I think it’s kinda lazy to label the disconnect as simply“jealousy” when it is multi-layered. Hustle culture has deeply impacted our society over the last decade(Good/Bad). With creators like yourself it is deeper than an “Avon sales lady” mindset. The attack on content creators is truly rooted in most not feeling like they’re able to get a piece of the pie…. but corporate America is shareable. Just “work hard”, lol.
