i refused to formula feed so i tried soo hard to continue but my fear was what if i can't feed my babies i couldn't imagine actually having to go through it. fed is best but i genuinely believe more women need support to breastfed either way has it struggles so however you could feed your baby more power to you

Im bombarded with formula ads on social media all the time like !! I even posted a screen recording. We need better support for moms who want to breastfeed.

Everybody that I know in my close proximity did not have the right support to breastfeed. I did and I did it for 2 years. I know there’s cases when kids need the formula, but those are far in between exceptions. But this is not a post about that. Women do not get enough support and education to continue BF

id be traumatized too if my child formula fed during a shortage. I breast fed my baby who will be 4 until he was 10 months old then we switched go formula. it was hard to find the can he was using, but his Dr gave the OK to start whole milk.

They love to leave out how some babies react to formula, my son couldn’t tolerate it at all, to the point it made him sick, constipapted, and yes we tried different formulas and even seen gastro about it, hated I had to put him on formula but I couldn’t produce enough after 6 months I had to

So you’re acknowledging that many women don’t have the support to breastfeed in the first place but…mad at this caption? I think it’s acknowledging women giving themselves permission to formula feed when the demand and sacrifice of it has become unmanageable and unsustainable for them. Whether from lack of support or whatever else makes it difficult for them. It’s not an easy decision for many women as you stated and also personally experienced. To me that’s where the sentiment of this ad comes from…letting yourself say it’s okay to formula feed if breastfeeding, the demand of it and the time and whatever else is taking too much of a toll on your mental health. As a single mom who has a c section and completely recovered alone after I had my son, I never imagined I wouldn’t breastfeed. But some days it was pump or eat. Pump or shower. Pump or wash bottles. Pump or sleep. I couldn’t keep up and already wasn’t eating enough bc I was so busy. Maybe just…consider the guilt some women experince in even allowing themselves to switch to formula in the first place and then read the caption through that lens.

pumping gave me sooo much stress , I lost my supply a few things . Until I just latched baby and now ive been breastfeeding for 1.5 yrs. I am a farmer and we have baby animals that sometimes need animal milk or colostrum and their ingredients are so much better than the ones in formula. and the whole recall thing I couldn't
