I don’t understand how the supply and demand curves allow you to be profitable selling 12 packs for $1.50 a unit, but you have to sell 6 packs at $2.00 a unit. I understand there are economies of scale with 12 packs, but I doubt those savings are proportional to a 25% price increase per unit from $11.99 6 packs to 17.99 12 packs.

Most craft 4-6 packs around 14.99 and 12 packs are at 24-29 around me, making it hard to go with those brands.

Or, or...it was just a fad started by millennials that was going to fade anyway but its demise was hastened by inflation and people being increasingly unwilling to pay 12.99 for a 6pack of swamp water.

Inflation will be the kill shot to craft beer. There’s nothing new with craft beer anymore, it is what it is and it’s getting old. Some will stick around if they have a successful flagship beer they’re known for, but small breweries will fall off. It was a trend and now the appeal is falling off and it’s becoming too expensive in this economy. I love breweries, just the honest truth

My local breweries all sell 4-packs of 16 oz cans for around $15. None of them sell 6- or 12-packs.

I used to buy alpha king for 5.99-6 99 a six pack. I dreamed of the day for a 12pk of ipa. goose Island made it happen. now I just want an affordable 6pk again.
