i don’t think this is fake yall 💀🙏 these old cathode ray tvs contain toxic gases and crazy high voltage electronics - degradation of these parts can make for an incredibly dangerous situation. it’s not crazy to think they’d install a fail safe to warn buyers when the tv is no longer safe to keep around.

It's probably fake, tvs back then didn't have enough processing capacity to count the amount of days the tv has been last serviced, and besides, tvs didn't have CMOS batteries to keep the timer updated either, even if they did have processing power to count the years

I’ve scrounged the internet for any information on such a “fatal screen” and it doesn’t exist, neither for Citizen CRT TVs nor for any known CRT TVs in general. So either 1) this is the first known recording of such a screen to exist, or more likely 2) this is a hoax.
