i had to tell someone in my first year class that she was making insensitive comments towards poor people and she said ‘oh but there’s no poor people here they wouldn’t get in’ when i picked my jaw up off the floor i told her i’d grown up in poverty and was still very poor, and she looked at me like dirt under her shoe. it was actually insane

One of my first year housemates RUINED my wok that had been perfectly seasoned and prepared before I started uni. She replaced it with a cheap non-stick one she got for free with some rice. Like- 😭 idk why I let her get away with that tbh
