Let me tell you the truth about undocumented immigrants in zambia, Most of them come from east African countries like rwanda, Burundi, congo, Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia, then Nigeria and Zimbabwe, Though most Zimbabweans come as documented students once they complete school they never go Back home and stop renewing and updating their documents so that you think they have left after school. That's the situation in zambia. I work for the ministry of foreign affairs.

Let's focus on unity, not differences over undocumented immigration, especially among Africans. We share a common Bantu heritage. After all these boundaries where exploitatively imposed on us by our colonial masters. Could we consider more inclusive policies, like continent-wide ID-based systems, to exponentially grow our economies? Zambia's strict immigration laws, with harsh penalties for minor overstays by the immigration officers, hinder growth. A more discretionary approach might better serve African unity.
