I saw a theory that abaddon and the boy were friends and that’s why he was able to posses him, because demons had to ask for consent in order to posses people’s body. So with this the priest probably shamed the boy for befriending him and that’s why he bonded their souls together instead of exorcising Abaddon😭

Bruhh the priest actually pisses me off he did not have to bind their souls together, he could have easily done an exorcism and sent abaddon back to hell. My theory/headcanon is that another demon or multiple demons somehow convinced the priest to bind the soul to his son's body because they didn't like Abbadon and wanted to get rid of him

It seems doubtful whether the ritual was necessary... The show showed that salt and protective amulets work. If the priest was afraid Abaddon would attack others, why not simply cast a circle of salt around Abaddon and ensure no one passed through it? After all, they caught and even bound him, and it seems they had no major problems controlling the demon. Moreover, the salt circle probably would have prevented the priest from being thrown off the cliff.

What's even more sad to be honest is the people calling the kid Abaddon/thinking it's about Abaddon and not about the actual kid Abaddon possessed. This is not Abaddon talking (at least in this video it's not meant to be him even if he possessed the child) this is the child he possessed begging his father, not actually Abaddon. I'm not saying Abaddon didn't suffer but in this case it's about the nameless child.
