I'm not against nuclear energy, I'm against people thinking they can be built and running in a year with no issues. The switch is not instantaneous. A plant also has many high risk factors too, I just think we should wait a bit for technology and great minds to make them safer for workers and the general population in the long term. I know they have been made better since Chernobyl but I don't think it's good enough tbh.

I am for nuclear energy but i’m australia it’s not very sustainable because we don’t have the fresh water required to run it we are a lot better with wind a solar here

All of the nuclear waste ever produced in history can fit inside an American football field and there's still room. The land on top of the burial locations has lower levels of radiation than background radiation. Literally the only downside to modern nuclear energy is the start up cost, which for the power it produces is lower in comparison
