She’s not saying don’t have empathy as a Christian. She’s saying empathy has to end when it begins to cross dangerous boundaries such as reaffirming sin, enabling bad behavior, or possibly hurting others.

We are told to stand for truth in the face of lies. We can have empathy for those that have been misled and share truth out of love. Saying God created you to live a life in opposition to his clear instruction is a sign of you being lost, the good news may be that you still believe in God and have an easier path than some to see his truth.

I just wanna put it out there that the people who don’t believe in Christianity, it’s irrelevant whether you believe or not. You live in a world where you have to deal with people who have different beliefs than you and it is useful to understand where they’re coming from.

She’s literally citing a passage that defeats her argument. The same passage uses binary terms for everything: night and day for example. But dawn and dusk do exist. Another is land and sea. But marshes are very real. So she’s not taking the text seriously

This is the programming: You watch a black person get brutalized by a cop for no obvious reason-->you feel empathy--> your pastors voice: "Don't feel empathy, that is a bad man! He was bad, he doesn't need empathy!"--> you start to question your own heart, over time you're convinced that feeling empathy for people like this is bad and pretty soon you're looking to media to feel you what's good and bad.
