I get this entirely. The only difference is … I will cut them off completely. As soon as they pull away, I cut them off entirely. I don’t stop thinking about them. Im addicted to them. I just won’t allow them to know, bc id rather die than let them feel they have any power over me

I’m 47 and after so many failed attempts to be in a relationship I found out it was all due to limerence. I’ve accepted my fate in never finding someone to love me or protect me, so I am happier alone. I now don’t want a relationship and okay with that.
