@emmachimb: This seat is driving me MAD! Britax Max Safe Pro came highly recommended to us, and whilst I love the seat itself, the way it sits she just will not stay asleep. It feels really upright. Do I need a whole new seat all together or am I missing something? Are there other #extendedrearfacing seats that would be better for us or could it be my car?🤣 #carseats #carseatsaftey #badmumclub #mumadvice

Car seat advisor here!! Your install isn’t 100% correct. So remove the slack from the seatbelt, make sure there’s minimal movement at the belt path. BUT your anchoring tethers are wayyyyy too long!! They need to be as short as possible, on the shortest loop!! You’ll then be able to tighten the tethers more and slightly recline the seat more!! Here, you cahh by t even notice my anchoring tethers because they’re so short!!

I have an axkid one3 for my 99th centile boy - I bought it for my 2 and a half year old (pink blossom) but he sleeps in the car still he’s just turned 1. The recline is fabulous and the rail slides back for tall kiddos. It is only 23kg though as it’s isofix :(

we have this seat and it is quite upright but we’ve found if you put all your weight and on top of it and do a quick push the tethers can react a bit and pulls it back a slight bit more - if that makes any sense x

If you can afford then switch to the joie i360 as it’s so easy to fit with isofix, tilts like a dream and easy to adjust. Spins for easy loading and rear facing till 4years or can forward face from 15 months if preferred (but not necessary)

We have the puggle lockton 360. It’s suitable from birth to 12 years and can rear face for as long as you would like. It fits our 3 door Corsa and our Audi xx

Noooo it’s such an easy seat to install. So she should eventually keep her head up, it takes them some time to adjust. I’ve got one in my husbands car. My car has an Axkid minikid 4, and my daughter is 3, she gets head flop in mine, it’s so annoying

I had to change my car. I was like a nutter ringing garages asking how flat the back seats were. I ended up with a qashqai. Every seat you get that’s rear facing is going to be the same really if it doesn’t have a wedge.

I have the max safe pro and couldn’t fault it, we get slight head flop but that’s normal however my son’s 17 months old. You need to redo your install and do a fit check with ur little one. Also you can use an infant carrier till 12 months, my sons 98th centile x

I'm a car seat retailer, and I actually hate this seat 😖😂 I always recommend axkid seats. I personally have a Minikid 2 and a Minikid 4 for my kids. (also have a axkid one in my partner's car) xx

If isofix: axkid one 3 - it’s actually installed under 60 seconds, no joke. Also really durable up to 125 cm tall

They do sit quite upright naturally. I know the old version of this had a wedge you could use to recline it more. Not sure if you can get one for this newer version. Might be worth looking into. I found my daughter quickly adapted to putting her head back to sleep though.

We have a joie Ispin 360, Britax Roner and my High centile (99th) 8 month old still fits her Cybex Cloud T as that goes up to 2 year average. All car seats I have a rear facing and all lay back way more than that

Or join bumps to boosters for better support to ensure you are getting a safe fit as right now it’s too lose for safe fit xx

What car do you have? I had that problem in my Audis & Passats & had to get a wedge for mote of a recline as the seats were really like tilted & deep in the back. I actually did end up getting rid though and got a Joie iProdigi which is extended RF too but isofix and easy recline

It’s a great seat! Just need to tweak a bit of the install here as others have pointed out. Also no need to stop using the infant carrier at 6 months old unless they’ve met the weight or height limits. BeSafe Stretch is amazing for long lasting and recline after installation 💜 feel free to message if you need any help!

As a side note, my kids were reasonably high centile and they still fit in their pixel pros until around 15-16 months?
