Did it fail because Leto or because it’s a niche franchise. One that Disney has never had complete faith in? Blade Runner 2049 was a legacy sequel that underperformed. Mad Max and Furiosa both legacy sequels, both didn’t do great numbers the latter underperforming by a lot. Maybe it was spending $180M on budget for a franchise that’s never been loved like MCU, Star Wars, Pirates of Caribbean
