I miss seeing my daughter dress up in Elsa and do supermarket shopping with me. You don’t get that time back

Cutting out maccas entirely will only mean once they are older and can take themselves there they will have it more lol because they were denied it as kids . Trust me , I know lol

Great parenting! We did every single thing you have just mentioned. You won’t regret raising your kids this way. Our kids are 24,22 and 17. They sometimes weren’t a fan of the rules, but absolutely respect our decision and understand now being older. Travel is definitely important. We’ve traveled extensively Asia, but predominantly Europe going 3-6 months at a time! You’ll have amazing, educated, well adjusted successful kids. This post is so refreshing. Wishing you all the luck in the world xo

I see you’re getting quite a few backlashes in the comments but I must say, I’ll be having the exact same rules for my kids. My parents had the same rules for me as well and so did my grandparents. It’s hard having these boundaries and people will say it’s hard but it’s doable. Also, even though a specific rule can’t be met, it’s important to have some sort of standard so we know what direction we’re setting our children to 😇

100% rule 1 & 2 but let kids be kids , kids wearing costumes could be away of expressing theirselves. - they could have an underlying autism or adhd etc.

why would they go to uni if they don’t know what they want to do? they get stuck in a 4 year degree thousands of dollars in debt just to not want to go down that career path
