I’m confused. When you are sent something internationally it’s under the understanding that it can be inspected by customs and possibly even opened. Is it suspicious because it’s a letter yes but granted I don’t know what the reason you could’ve been that they used. I think this is the first time they are doing things like this I don’t believe is true.

USPS carrier here. First class mail can only be opened by a postal inspector with a warrant if there is probable cause to believe the contents violate federal law. That rule also applies to US customs. I’ve never heard of customs opening first class mail, only suspicious packages.
