I stepped up to a 450 from a 250 and will be going back to a 250, 450 was harder to ride in stuff like this. Been on a bike for over 30yrs.

Definitely if you get serious on trail riding invest in a KTM, the suspension is setup worlds better. The bike will work for you!

The higher the gear the less “torque” it’s going to have so riding in 2nd and 3rd will be a lot easier, and you can always down shift if you feel like it’s bogging down on hills. Go

I miss my 450 man, I started on a Husky 450, but love woods riding too much. So I sold it and got a 300 and man is that thing a weapon on the trails - it does “alright” in the dunes but I have to ride the pipe. I’ll pickup a YZ450 for dunes/desert eventually

That’s crazy work getting a 450 as your first bike. Props to you brother. Next time. Take someone with you, or get some sort of gps or SOS. Don’t ever be alone while riding trails

Speed is key but on a real note stand more than you sit use your knees and elbows as suspension with the bike as time goes on you’ll be more comfortable and confident just keep riding and you’ll get it
