@greybirchdesigns: If you would’ve told me last week I’d be ripping out all the landscaping we planted just 2½ years ago, I wouldn’t have believed you… but here we are. Let me explain—better yet, let me show you. Yes, that’s my husband with two tennis rackets ready to go to battle with the wasps. It all started with a severe aphid problem on our roses that we just couldn’t get under control. And where there are aphids, there are wasps—lots of them with no visible nest in sight. So, we made the tough call to pull out every single rose and start fresh. This time, we’re going with Little Lime hydrangeas—not only because they’re gorgeous, but because they’re low-maintenance and pest-resistant. Aphids generally aren’t attracted to hydrangeas (it’s actually pretty rare to find them on there), and since wasps love aphids, they don’t typically hang around hydrangeas either. It was painful to start 90% of our landscaping over, but worth it for a peaceful front yard—and no more sprinting to the car in fear of being stung. Just imagine this space a year or two from now… one big, beautiful hydrangea hedge. I can’t wait. #HomeImprovement #GardeningTips #GardenProblems #LandscapingIdeas #Hydrangeas

You’ll love it more, I promise! Roses need dead heading. Hydrangeas don’t, less maintenance. ❤
