@whiskstowhiskers: Just a love story between two lonely kittens who started off their lives with some health challenges. I took Maple in a few days before we said goodbye to Nuji. Since he tested positive for tritrichomonas, we had to keep him quarantined for much longer than 2 weeks, but because it's only transmitted through feces, he was able to complete part of his quarantine in a pen. After finishing treatment, he went to another foster home where he could run around and build up his muscle strength. This allowed us to retest him 2 weeks later and feel confident he was parasite free. He finally got to reunite with Baby Corn. While Maple is heavier, stronger, and faster, Baby Corn is obsessed with him. As for his legs, we don't quite know what is going on. The x-ray machine was broken when we took him in so the vet did a thorough physical exam and said she has seen similar cases where kittens improved as they grew stronger so she was comfortable letting us wait for x-rays. Maple's legs seem to have straightened out a little over the past month so I'm hoping the vet was right. I'm really happy that Baby Corn has a friend. I have the same concerns I always do about Maple outgrowing Baby Corn and overpowering him, but for now, they are experiencing joy and companionship. #babycorncat #kitten #fosterkittens #cerebellarhypoplasia #wobblycat
