You have to check up on your cat in person here in Sweden at least twice a day, otherwise it’s abuse. Hoping you didn’t leave your cat just because he had food and water. America is wild for not having better animal cruelty laws.

Never forget the time my parents were away for my brothers wedding, they had the neighbour checking in on their dog & feeding him. The neighbour left him outside at night and turned the light off and he kept howling so much that the other neighbour called the police, and my mum got a call from the police and she said I'm so sorry, hes usually inside of a night and hes scared of the dark
