I called out the day after my grandpa died ON OUR UNIT and I was so scared she was gonna give me a hard time but no she said “oh my gosh of course, did you want to cancel the rest of your shifts this week too? I’m so sorry” and I still felt bad cancelling😭

i NEVER call out bc we’re so understaffed all the time and i feel bad about it. the first time i ever called out this year i had to convince myself it would be fine and apparently 3 other people called out that day💀

It sometimes is like this thought 😭 I had to call out once because I had a severe eczema flare up on my face around my mouth, it was so bad I could barely open my mouth to speak without severe pain and bleeding, my boss gave me an attitude and hung up on me while I was talking 😭
