I lived in my car for a year and a half while working full time as a caregiver for elderly and Dementia clients, no one knew unless I told them.. But met many individuals like you who have hearts bigger than the universe along the way and was given a whole Travel trailer because this older friend (I cared for her mother for years before she passed) who couldn't stand the thought of me living in my car.. She will forever be my bestie ❣

I live in Ohio and I just read that in Cincinnati they are going to be setting up safe places near schools for people to park the cars they live in overnight. There will be charging ports and meals a few nights a week. Plus it will have security guards so people can feel safe. It really is so beautiful and sad all at the same time.

Believe it or not a lot of women that are single now struggle to make rent especially it's so expensive to pay rent gas, water, electric car, payment car insurance and then still try to feed yourself believe you me I have been in this situation where I had to take a second jobjust to end up losing my apartment either way, but we just do the best we can I'm Gen X so it's very hard for me to even ask for help

I lived in my van for 6 months, my mom had to take my kids and I was working 50-80 hours a week trying to save up for a home for us. One day a friend video called me, seen my situation, and threatened to beat my a** if I didn’t get myself to his home and sleep in his spare room. He gave us a home throughout the fall/winter until the following march when I finally got into an apartment. Without him and his lovely wife idk where I would’ve wound up.
