Patoshsky :
I believe many Muslim women sincerely think that through fasting, praying diligently, and faithfully keeping the tenets of their religion, they can earn favor with God and secure a place in heaven. Their devotion often comes from a genuine desire to please God, yet such reliance on personal effort and religious duty can leave lingering doubts — just as we heard the lady express uncertainty about her salvation.
In contrast, true salvation is not about what we do for God, but about what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. It is not achieved by human effort, rituals, or good deeds, but by grace through faith. Salvation is the result of a heart fully surrendered to God — one that allows the Holy Spirit to come in, renew, and transform us from within. When we yield ourselves completely to Him, it is no longer our striving that defines us, but His Spirit working in and through us.
The Christian walk is therefore not a checklist of works, but a relationship led and sustained by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit becomes our guide, our comforter, and our teacher — shaping our character, convicting us of truth, and directing our steps according to God’s perfect will.
As the Bible beautifully declares:
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” — Philippians 2:13
