This is my daughters school. We are a small, tight knit school family and it has hurt us all to our core. Please pray for this little girls family as well as our Mustang Family as well.

I am a teacher in another district, and we have taken our students to this farm for many years. It’s an amazing place. You can’t see the pool unless you know it’s there because it’s shielded by a fence and bushes. But this is exactly why us teachers beg for as many chaperones as possible to help. If you haven’t been in the classroom with 20+ tiny humans, it really is a mad-house. Plus, the school can’t legally talk to the parents.

Who and where were the chaperone? I never let any child out of my sight when going on a field trip. I went with my children and grands.

I live in Paulding County, which is where the school that she had attend is located, and I am so tired of people and the accusations that they’re spewing all over the Internet before the GBI is even done with the investigation. It is absolutely devastating what this baby went through and I cannot even imagine because both of my children Who are older teens now attended field trips at this arm, and the Carlton are some of the nicest, most considerate, amazing people that I’ve ever met! They’ve had this farm for decades for education and stuff for the kids, and I’m sure they are just as devastated as everyone else right now. I truly just wish that everybody would wait for answers instead of making all the assumptions that certain things happened. I am praying deeply for those parents and her family and friends that knew her personally. I can’t even imagine what they are going through at this point, but I’m sure all of theaccusations and Unknown people would quit talking about on the Internet. It doesn’t help anyone.

I live not even 10mins from the farm and my kids have been going since they were born. It’s a home where people live but they open it up for field trips and families to enjoy hay rides, corn maze, and petting zoo this time of year. The pool has always been there and has a fence surrounding making it hard to see the pool because do the fence design. Nothing like this has ever happened before here and I blame the school/chaperones. Someone should have been watching her!

Hi from this area and have been to this farm my entire life. The pool is behind the house in the center of the farm and fenced. You don’t see it unless you’re looking for it. God Bless this baby

School is for sure at fault, but I can tell you why they didn't call. The school's attorneys insisted they say nothing. We just had a school nurse aid sentenced to prison. Prior we were upset about not hearing from the school. It wasn't the employees of the school not wanting to reach out, they weren't allowed to. The attorneys silenced them to everyone but the investigators until the case was closed.

Oh my goodness! This is terrible! They are supposed to be safe at school which includes field trips. Who was not watching these kids? Head count?!!! I was always so aware when I chaperoned field trips. Constant head count!!

It’s not really surprising that the school isnt talking to them. I’m sure their lawyers have told them not to so they don’t inadvertently admit fault. That’s like active investigation 101. It’s horrific what happened to her, but wait for the details to be released. So much right now is rumors like whether a family member was with her or not.

I went on a field trip 2 years ago to the same place. It make me wonder how/why she was near a pool. So sad.

This is horrendous! I don’t know how big the class was or how many kids went on this trip, but typically here where I live, both teachers and some parents will chaperone people. Each chaperone has a certain number of children they’re responsible to watch. Answers have to be demanded in that school has to be held responsible as well as the farm where the trip was held

I HATE how schools now have everyone split off. When I was in school we had a buddy system. You kept eyes on your buddy all day, but we stayed in one big group. When we would leave one part for the next, the teachers would yell for everyone to hold their buddy’s hand and make sure they were accounted for. Now my kids school sends off a group of students with each chaperone to just free walk all over and meet at the end of the day
