im not worried about the co2. maybe the fact that people in Iowa are in fact losing water. environmental isn't just co2 emissions. but resources that people need to live being cut off.

Ai is simply not necessary at all tho thats the issue. All of the carbon emission might seem like a little % but the thing is that its still huge and ai is not needed so its js ruining the enviorment for literally no reason like google exists

I don’t care about the carbon emissions; I care that the data centers are polluting local water tables in Georgia and Texas, and that these data centers are projected to consume more electricity in 2026 than Japan.

My main issue with AI has always been that it is making people undermine developing skills and devaluing their humanity as a whole. I personally have multiple issues with it and will always hate it.

i am a data engineer, i can't remember a single person saying data centers are bad for the environment, until ai got mainstream. ppl only use this argument cuz they hate ai replacing their repetitive job, and they r too lazy to learn a skill or 2 to get a normal job.
