I feel like men get partly robbed of the human experience that is community, empathy, emotional intimacy with family and friends, and camaraderie through vulnerability and acceptance. How did we get this idea as a society that masculinity is isolation, stoicism, and apathy? Just for the sake of not appearing “feminine” which is thought of to be dependent, expressive, and sensitively empathetic?

Empathy is the gateway to vulnerability, to validating others, to sharing with others, to bringing people together, to build interconnectedness on a wider scale.
