The boy should not feel guilty. CPR often is not successful even with medics witnessing it or in hospital. The survival rate is abysmal out of hospital.

Cardiac arrest survival rate is 14% overall in Ireland. That includes cpr and defibrillator. It’s not a guaranteed lifesaver

Had a friend had a cardiac arrest infront of me, I failed cpr as I didn’t know what I was doing. It crushed me I was 17. This should be taught everywhere !!!!
